Children’s Division

The Children’s Division caters for children of primary and secondary school age (generally 6 to 18 years). We aim to instill students with the confidence required to undertake formal accreditation in the German language.

Placement of students is based on age and prior knowledge of German (if any). Depending on the learning abilities of students, teachers apply a variety of techniques in the classroom, including the use of language games and song as well as a progressive text book series. Reports are issued to students each year.

We hold classes on Saturday mornings. We follow the normal school calendar and break for school holidays. Check our school calendar for exact dates.

We reserve the right to cancel classes with insufficient numbers (minimum class size is generally 6 children).

COVID-19: Our face-to-face classes operate according to our COVIDsafe Plan.

Saturday Morning Classes

Saturday morning classes are held during school terms at Alfred Deakin High School, Denison Street, Deakin. These classes cater for children of primary and secondary school age (generally 7 to 18 years). Classes run from 9:00am to 11:30am.
